They behaved like dems. The 'they' in this case being pubbies not 'the right wing' If you look at people perception of themselves more people identify themselves as 'conservative' than liberal.

Let me remind you conservative is not another word for republican and liberal is not an acronym for democrat. Each represent just a portion of each party. You probably know this but I just hate when people think these words can be used to describe each party.

Rush et al are trying to fix that; the purge-in-process of the Republican party is designed to reduce it to an arch-conservative core. Hence their 20% polling. You really think the Rush contingent doesn't identify itself as Republican? Only so many will walk in and say "Oh no, no, I'm a fringe extremist beyond the Republicans," when the party itself is catering to fringe extremists.

I watched my college football team go from winning the Lambert Trophy twice in five years under a conservative administration to becoming a laughing stock under a liberal administration -- all students forced to pay an annual fee that supports the "Gay, Lesbian, and Trans-gender" campus club, while religious organizations that don't think that is right are kicked off campus.

I learned: be careful what you wish for.
