Waterboarded 183 times, thats not as bad as being led around on a dog leash or having ladies underwear put on your head.
Imagine rolling over in the middle of the night and finding Janet Reno in bed with you, with hip boots on.

so my stuff is dubious ........ but yours is what?
Not dubious.

repetition is a huge part of any means to extract information........
Evidently, then, you are trying to extract information from all of us. This explains a lot.
By the way, there are still three dots in an ellipsis. Four with a small space if you intend to indicate that the edited text ended in a period.

so stop being a jackarse that thinks you know better.......you're not.....you just make yourself sound like a hypocritical idiot
I count two personal insults, to wit, jackarse and idiot, an adjectival phrase ("that thinks you know better," which of course should be "that thinks he knows better," to be grammatically sound,) and a straight up bellicose adjective, "hypocritical."
But lo and behold, no argument! Just more dots.

but getting back to the torture......never said it was fun......but based on the 9/11, and the kinds of things that came out of the same people (the daniel pearl beheading), I have absolutely no problems with giving the military or the CIA carte blanche to do whatever they feel they should do.......
Two problems here, neither of which, I fear, would be solved by your acquisition of a GED. First of all, I was addressing several posters, some of whom did say it was fun. BING! Reality!
Secondly, I addressed not whether some bad deeds were accomplished by some of the Gitmo detainees, or people they knew; I addressed the efficacy and morality of torture.
Again, whether you have a problem with it is partly dependent on your ability to synthesize information, partly dependent on your capacity for separating various categories of unconvicted and untried "combatants," and partly on your preference for exactly the form of justice (usually described with the simple prefix in) and savagery you purport to abhor when it is levelled against American victims and journalists.

somebody has to do the dirty work so all you wusses can go drink your lattes without worrying about a building over your head having a jet flown into it
Big internet tough guy. But you have no content to support what you seem to believe is a thesis. Basically you're saying you're more bellicose and more bloodthirsty than anybody. In type, of course. Wheeeeeeee.
Who gives a damn. This childishness has nothing to do with the topic at hand. Is there ever a need for torture? Probably not. Is there a need for torturing cabbies with little if any information? Definitely not.
Do ya think 183 times had anything to do with information? I do not.
Do ya think it has to do with sadism? If not, you're a naive simpleton.
why? to wind up a boob like you? you can't even tell what an insult is
you're making assumptions about things you have no clue about......you weren't there......stop acting like you know something.....you don't
sadism and masochism actually is something that is portrayed to the tortured as an element in the psychological portion of the torture......in fact, those doing the torturing are supposed to act like they are enjoying it......but I am sure you knew that and were just hiding it from me
As I said, I am not a professional torturer (nor any other kind,) and have never purported to be one. I'm acting like I know exactly as much as you do about the subject, although that's giving you a lot of credit in a specific instance by pure benefit of the doubt.
Now then, I assume you claim you do know quite a bit on the topic of torture, first-hand. If you are in fact a torturer yourself, whether professional or casual, is there no pleasure in it for you? If not, why are you a casual torturer? If you are in fact a professional torturer, how did you choose your line of work?
Or, if you have no first-hand information, what do your sources tell you is the way you can tell whether sadism is feigned, from an objective standpoint?

So tell me, all-knowing child: When did we last monitor the brains of the torturers, to see which bits lit up when they are practicing their craft?
Wouldn't that strike you as a worthwhile endeavor?

I'm not all knowing........but I did look it up
psychology of torture:
The process of torture is designed to invade and destroy the belief of the subjects in their independence as a human being, to destroy presumptions of privacy, intimacy, and inviolability assumed by the subjects, and to destroy their unspoken trust that these things can save them. Beyond merely invading the subjects' mental, physical independence on a one-to-one level, such acts can be made more damaging via public humiliation, incessant repetition, depersonalization, and sadistic glee, and, on occasion, their opposites, false public praise, insidious pandering, false personalization, and masochistic manipulation
theory of coercion (this came out of the CIA Human Resource Exploitation Training Manual) :
"The purpose of all coercive techniques is to induce psychological regression in the subject by bringing a superior outside force to bear on his will to resist. Regression is basically a loss of autonomy, a reversion to an earlier behavioral level. As the subject regresses, his learned personality traits fall away in reverse chronological order. He begins to lose the capacity to carry out the highest creative activities, to deal with complex situations, or to cope with stressful interpersonal relationships or repeated frustrations."
sounds like the dudes beliefs were pretty deep rooted (as they should have been given his stature in al quaeda) and they turtured him as long as they did because that's how long it took

personally, I would prefer that the organization who perpetrated 9/11 would continue to think that this kind of crap will happen to them if we get our hands on them.......I believe it is a fairly effective deterrent

Just like capital punishment, chain gangs, tent city, pink underwear and the farm at Angola... do you really believe any of this deters anything for people whose greatest life goal is to be a martyr for their cause??? You also assume that the people who are in training are reading any of this stuff....

Many of the same people in America who are now p!ssing their pants over pouring a little water up the nose of a smelly murdering savage and in doing so may save thousands of Americans lives are the 'same people' who go insane if the pictures of the human beings floating down from the sky on the morning of 9/11 to smash like watermelons on the street causing their bowels, their guts and their heads to splatter like Diarrhea all over the side walks of new York, they are the same people who don't want to "Offend Our Enemy" they are the same people who didn't want us to sing God Bless America on the evening of 9/12, they are the same people who want us to kiss the a$s of the dirty swine that want to kill all our children. they are all f--king nuts.
PS
Our Beautiful President went to visit some of our enemy's this week "They ***** All Over Him And He Apologized To Them" Hugo Chavez made a fool out of our President.
