Default Rick Perry Political Rhetoric or Serious about Secession...

Follows another thread about how polarized this country is becoming and fears of long term political divisions.. So is Rick serious about secession or is his posturing for a higher office??? Or just pandering to the recent wave of hysteria???...

Now lets see we pull out Fort Hood, Lackland AFB, Ft. Hood, Ft. Bliss, Ft. no more Fema after hurricanes, no FAA in the Texas Airports, no NASA, the NFL & NBA will automatically become "inernational".. on and on.. They can start their own border patrol, armend forces.. maybe they will finally have to institute an income and sales tax.

Perry called his supporters patriots. Later, answering news reporters' questions, Perry suggested Texans might at some point get so fed up they would want to secede from the union, though he said he sees no reason why Texas should do that.

"There's a lot of different scenarios," Perry said. "We've got a great union. There's absolutely no reason to dissolve it. But if Washington continues to thumb their nose at the American people, you know, who knows what might come out of that. But Texas is a very unique place, and we're a pretty independent lot to boot."

He said when Texas entered the union in 1845 it was with the understanding it could pull out.

Political posturing, and like i said before the only thing i can think of that came out of Texas was SRV, Janis Joplin, The Doobie Brothers, and ZZ Top. So i hope the door doesn't hit them in the AZZ on the way out.
They can play with the Banditos on their own.

There would be a run on Texas to get away from the ever increasingly burdensome federal government. I'd love to move to Texas if it were it's own country.
