I guess at this point, a stern warning that further piracy will be dealt with violently should suffice.........

I don't believe troops would have to be delpoyed anyway.........this is something that a few well placed bombs could deter

Not sure how you attack a backasswards tribal country, with 1800 miles of coastline and no infrastructure.. in this country of 9,000,000 people what is the difference if you loose a few thousand... a few less mouths to feed.

Somalia's Islamic and 65% of it's export is livestock along with bananas,fish,and sugar. It boasts the lowest AIDS percentages of all African countries and reportedly one of it's northern provinces has lotsa oil.

China and the US are very interested in this oil potential of 5-10 BILLION barrels.

I can't imagine we'd want to bomb the place; we'd more likely want to take it over instead, and hopefully do that ahead of China.

Of course these "pirates" now say they'll kill any Americans or French who get in their way. How lucky Obushya asked for an additional 84B in military funding just last week.
