What has Cuba done to the U.S. in the last 40 years? Why shouldn't we normalize relations? When Nixon normailized relations with China by flying over was that proof that he was secretly a communist?

beyond the political aspect, the only other thing is the question of a very large amount of property that was taken from people, businesses, etc........

if someone took everything you owned, how long would it take for you to get over it?

You got a whole bunch of people in America -- Miami being one such place -- who have lost thousands of loved ones to Castro's "ideological cleansing" after he took dictatorial control over Cuba. Tens of thousands -- if not more -- have died merely for disagreeing with Castro's Marxist techniques. He's got to earn their forgiveness first.
