ALso, the biggest problem is the massive middle man: the insurance industry. But guess what, they're trying to legislate health insurance. I wonder why? That is one thing about living in Mass that is hugely disappointing. I mean, seriously, legislated profit? Ugh.
REP. JIM McDERMOTT: Well, clearly, the economic forces, the medical-industrial complex in this country, is bigger than the military-industrial complex in this country. And people don’t recognize that, but it is a huge industry
We've already discussed this, "Life" does not mean free health care; it means that the government can't take a life that otherwise would continue. Although you pro-abortionists may have something to answer to there.
Interesting. I've long felt that the biggest corporate resistance to national health care in this country is the fact that dying baby boomers is a massive profit center. What is it, the average retiree will spend $240,000 on their health care?
The government as a necessary evil is a myth, man. Where do you live, in a compound?
I have no idea what that response means but nationalized health care has the government as a middle man between the patient and the health care provider. And you are complaining about an insurance company that's a tiny percent of the bureaucracy that the government would be.
