Default EPA expected to act in regulating carbon dioxide

EPA expected to act in regulating carbon dioxide

Quote:
The Environmental Protection Agency is expected to act for the first time to regulate carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases that scientists blame for the warming of the planet, according to top Obama administration officials.

The decision, which most likely would play out in stages over a period of months, would have a profound impact on transportation, manufacturing costs and how utilities generate power. It could accelerate the progress of energy and climate change legislation in Congress and form a basis for the United States' negotiating position at United Nations climate talks set for December in Copenhagen.
The days of prosperity are over. How many more business will go under? How many more people will lose their jobs? Over the biggest scam and lie ever perpetrated on the world.

However good or bad the economy will be over the next decade, this will take a big out of it. Great will become good, good will become average, average will become bad and bad will become very bad.

This crap will be like a tax that just takes a percentage of the GDP and, literally, tosses it into the air.

The only thing I disagree with you is that it doesn't "toss it in the air", rather it will flush GDP right down the toilet. A green eco-friendly toilet.

I'd rather have it tossed into the air than tossed into Iraq. Atleast it cleans up some of the smog in major cities.

Thats why you drive a 10 year old car, even though you could easily afford a new one being a computer programer for the Navy?

To be fair i knew some people (dead now) that were worth 50-60 million. They drove a 10-12 year old mustang around, their son an old used VW with a couple of hub caps missing.

I'm not getting rich doing that, believe me - but, yeah, we don't HAVE to spend money. When I canceled a phone line at home to save $30 a month I didn't tell my wife to find another way to spend it - it is just one less bill now. Same concept

This is plumb idiotic - and I'm sorry for being harsh but this is really beyond stupid. Think of all the new businesses that can be created researching and selling new technology. Ever heard of the internet?
