Default Rangel Rule Act of 2009

At least the Republicans in the House still have a sense of humor...

CNSNews.com - Bill Would Eliminate IRS Penalties and Interest for All U.S. Taxpayers

CNSNews.com) - All U.S. taxpayers would enjoy the same immunity from IRS penalties and interest as Rep. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.) and Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner under a bill introduced Wednesday by Republican Rep. John Carter of Texas.

I wonder how Rangel will vote on it??

I don't think it's a joke really. I've been wondering since Geithner did what he did and that precedent has been set how can they charge others penalties?

Am I the only one who hears all the 'settle your IRS problems for pennies on the dollar.' commercials on the radio? The IRS became toothless tigers at least a decade ago. Now if you've fallen way behind, its pay what you can afford. They decide what you can afford, but its not like crappy TV sitcoms imply.

The MA Dept of Revenue OTOH...

I wonder if the citizens of California and Kansas can charge interest and fees to their state government since their income tax refunds will be delayed.

Since California will soon be bankrupt, here is a great idea to remedy the situation: Have that guy from Mexico, Carlos Slim Helu, who bailed out The New York Times, buy California from the United States.

IRS agents are all in a panic because all over the country judges are refusing to give jail time to tax cheats citing Giethner. The most recent case was in the Northern Distirict of Gerogia (Atlanta), I'm trying to find an article about it, however needless to say, the AJC isn't in a hurry to cover it.

Turns out R Emmanuel is a tax cheat also... dems love everything about taxes, especially since they don't pay...
