George Orwell was off by 25 years; he meant to say, "2009" not "1984
Illegals are suing land-owner in Arizona for "violating their civil rights".
It doesn't get more insane than this.
The Brinks bank robbers should have had today's ACLU; they'd have gotten to keep their swag AND sue the police for "violating their human rights".
Unfreakingbelievable.
An Arizona man who has waged a 10-year campaign to stop a flood of illegal immigrants from crossing his property is being sued by 16 Mexican nationals who accuse him of conspiring to violate their civil rights when he stopped them at gunpoint on his ranch on the U.S.-Mexico border.
Roger Barnett, 64, began rounding up illegal immigrants in 1998 and turning them over to the U.S. Border Patrol, he said, after they destroyed his property, killed his calves and broke into his home.

You're just looking for a crack to advertize your pet peeve. The thread is about illegal immigration and yes...we know...the Israelis are connected to that, too.

The scope of the threat title is about the book, not just illegal immigration. If you are so anal about the scope of the thread, then why no comment from you about Shmessy's off topic post?

Barnett apparently has a history of this stuff, and has had previous judgements against him...
This may come down the question of whether or not a person can take the law into his own hands and not be held accountable..it will prove to be an interesting discourse.
The ACLU is not involved, except to create hysteria...
Barnett's attorney, David Hardy, had argued that illegal immigrants didn't have the same rights as citizens. That setback came on the heels of another judgment against Barnett in February 2008. At that time, the Arizona Court of Appeals refused to throw out a jury verdict of guilty from November 2006 — and a nearly $100,000 monetary award — against Barnett in another civil case in which a jury concluded he falsely imprisoned members of a Douglas family.

Whoa, you're just swinging wildly at everyone this morning, looking for a fight, eh?
My post was completely on topic considering the discussion of Orwell and the Originating Poster who used 1984 in his argument.
It's a nice day, beginning of a new week with new possibilities, cheer up.
