California delays $3.5B in payments
Gov. Schwarzenegger's Golden State is in a world of pain. Now it can't meet its obligations to taxpayers, vendors and others until a budget deal is reached.
The worlds 8th largest economy, and my home state......

California State Controller John Chiang announced on January 26 that California’s bills exceed its tax revenues and credit line and that the state is going to print its own money known as IOUs. The template is already designed.
Instead of receiving their state tax refunds in dollars, California residents will receive IOUs. Student aid and payments to disabled and needy will also come in the form of IOUs. California is negotiating with banks to get them to accept the IOUs as deposits.
California is often identified as the world’s eighth largest economy, and it is broke.
Keep thinking gubmit is the answer to everything. Grow, grow, and grow gubmit, and this is how you end up.

"How does (Miami-Ohio offensive lineman Brandon) Brooks not get invited to the combine? How did Vollmer not get invited to the combine? I don't know. We can't really worry about that. We just have to try to evaluate them the best we can."
I wouldn't generalize all dems as being fiscally irresponsible, cuz they're not. Afterall, it's republicans that have grown the federal gubmit to levels never seen before. It's why I can't help but laugh at all these frauds going on TV, talking about how irresponsible this Stimulus bill is (which it is), when they sat on the largest expanse of gubmit in our history. Even better, I saw a couple of clowns talking about adding more spending to the Bill, in the form of government backed mortgages. What a joke these elected officials are.

This has nothing to do with home prices, layoffs, or our state congress and Governor...
serioiulsy? You think the economic crisis in California is cause by 4 kinds of people alone?
gosh.....
Instead of being a partisan hack, why not take this for what it is, a smaller version of what will be happening if you don't smarten up. Be constructive.
