Default A Few 'Smarmy' Members in the Forum Today.

I just got in a while ago and I cannot believe some of the crap floating around in this forum today. I did not support Barack Obama. I did not vote for Barack Obama. I also attacked him during the election for having alleged bad aquantices and for being too liberal. But he has been elected our 44th President and he is now our 44th President. I think he will do a better job than most could have predicted. Why such hate for the man we need to pull this country forward? that's messed up.

In any case ... I thought this was a forum of adults. It's not ... a few here are determined to ruin the day for the Obama supporters here ... good show ... something grade school children do. 'Swarmy' is the most perfect word I could think of. Grow the frig up. At least be polite ... this day is a great American tradiditon and should be respected as such. Nobody is asking everyone to like the man ... but good old fashioned Americanism would be a great start. Respect for the Presidency is not too much to ask of America's citizens ... even in an anonymous forum.

Have you paid attention to the last 8 years and the "respect" the Presidency was given ? Evidently not.

I do have one negative on this inaugaration day. What is up with the used double cab short bed truck the pool reporters were in ... that's embarressing. A bunch of nice black Caddies and SUV's and then that stupid looking truck with the bad suspension ... what is up with that? Something we're used to seeing in the news in the Middle East when there is strife ... overloaded small trucks. Looks like a Toyota or Nissan ... like why not A Silverado, F-150 or Ram.

GREAT POST IcyPat!!

You'd almost think there are people out there who when they heard Obama call on everyone to do their part to set this nation on a new course for the future, were saying to themselves....

"Fukc him....fukc the democrats! Let THEM fix this country"

If I ever heard anyone REALLY say that, I'd give em the ol "one, two....HE'S OUT COLD" reaction. If they got up, I'd do it again! It would be un-American to not want to work together to straighten this nation out.

What an honest post IcyPat....my hat's off to you!

Sure it did, it was ugly from the beginning with the whole mess in Florida. And, yeah, why should Republicans "respect the Presidency" when Democrats didn't for 8 years ?

I complained about that a lot BF ... especially to NEM when he was here. I have been a very vocal supporter of more respect to our President and the Presidency. I can dig them up for you if needed.
