People in Maine have been doing it for years, very few breaking and entering cases in Maine, the "Maine Bad Guys" know that if there are five people living in a house they also have Five Guns in there with them.
Example Story:
About ten years ago in a small western Maine town some Drug Dealers came up from Lowell Mass to settle a Drug Deal Gone Bad, they broke into a small farm house at 3:00 AM, the stupid baggy pant bastards never knew what hit them, the clowns made so much noise outside they woke everybody in the house up, as soon as they got through the window Four Guns were blazing away the two Morons were dead before they hit the floor, instead of being arrested the Sheriff shook hands with them and said "good job" the best part of this was, the Idiot drug dealers broke into the wrong house.
When in Maine and you see some pretty young housewife walking around the Mall with a Fanny Pack on nine times out of ten she has her little handgun in it.
Most gun related murders in Maine are "domestic" the shooter and the victim usually know each other.
If eight people are living in one house in Maine it is pretty certain that there are eight guns in that house.
