Pirates shot at a U.S cruise in trying to capture it. The ship sped up and sent out a defensive noise (?) that helped turn back the pirates.
This was a huge F'up on the pirates part. Go after all the Saudi oil tankers you wish, but f' with a U.S. ship and your skrewed. This happens again, don't be surprised if one of these pirate ships is blown away by a destroyer.

The pirates are not going to stop until exactly this happens. Did you know that they made $50 million this year ransom money? With hardly any retribution. That just encourages more attacks.

Personally, I hope the pirates attack an Israeli ship. It would be there last one...

These guys are getting awefully bold lately. Wonder why that is? Probably not the smartest thing to do. I have a feeling, that it will bring some unwanted attention to them real soon, by some folks they probably don't want to meet.

I'm not real suprised. This is really about rolling some international non-affiliated bandits. It's not really foriegn policy issue, for which there could be legitimate left/right policy differences.

These guys are thugs and it doesn't take a lefty or righty to agree with the fact that they should gets what's comming to them.

We don't need police or the State Department or the military. Just get the NRA to sponsor a cruise or two. The pirates won't know what hit 'em.

Mount a few of those .50 cal sniper rifles on the back and the cruise line can charge the passengers $20/shot to defend the ship.
