Paul Farrell is a one-note flute. He's been writing the same thing for decades. I challenge anyone to read that entire column and not see how the hysterical generalities of it render the author un-credible.

A broken clock is right twice a day.

Are there MAJOR problems with our economy? Of course. Does this type of writing shed any light on the problems? No.

There are writers whom I read for enlightenment no matter the position they take.

This clown isn't one of them.

The link is working for me. Personally, I think Farrell is way off here. I think we stay in bear for 5-7 more years then we're off on the next bull for 15 years, which will probably be a biotech, alternative energy based run.
