This is big news. This has to be the untethered end of the Republican election fraud snake. If we grab hold of the tail end of this critter we can follow it back to the head, then cut it off and fry it up.

Good riddance. We need some new blood in DC. Corrupt MF'ers like Stevens need to get canned. I guess this would also mean no Sarah Palin in Stevens' senatorial seat.

I don't consider him losing his seat to be the big news. The fact it was even close is unbelievable.

The idea that almost 50% of the state voted for him even though he was convicted of corruption is quite sad. Our expectations of our politicians are so low that folks actually thought he should keep his job.

Maybe they know something in Alaska about his opponent that you don't know.

If there is any truth to that, then it is equally sad. Fact is almost 50% of Alaska thought the best man for the job was a corrupt felon.

That was a deflection, in admitting that a Republican is a fraud and corrupt. Yes, there are Democrats who are also frauds and are corrupt, but there has been nothing on the new senator elect from Alaska. Oh, by the way, that's 56 with 2 Indepedents who usually vote Dem. I'll be content with one more D for 59.
