I can almost see them pouring burning oil out on an enraged populace.

WTF were they thinking?

I'd swear the artist was channeling the empire from The Empire Strikes Back except that didn't come out until 1980.

I love the city of Boston , it 's a pretty clean city with nice architecture , but that building specially , reminds me those old buildings from countries of the East Block (block oriented to Soviet Union)

Yup, yup, yup, yup.

Ugly as sin. In a city like Boston, with all its history and value as a birthplace of America!!!

Tear down that monstronsity and build something beautiful. I completely agree it looks like a draconian empire headquarters. Is that Darth Vader looking out from the top floor window!!

Old and New Boston are joined through an act of urban design that relates directly to the quality of the city and its life."

The praise was not universal. Then-Mayor John Collins reportedly gasped as the design was first unveiled, and someone in the room blurted out, "What the hell is that?"[1] City Hall is unpopular with Bostonians, as it is with employees of the building, who see it as a dark and unfriendly eyesore.[2] The structure's complex interior spaces result in cavernous voids, a confusing floorplan, and make the building very expensive to heat.
