Default NEWS FLASH: Utah hit with 46 inches of snow, AlGore can't believe it...

... so he's flying there to investigate. Oh, and he's bringing along the Tipper and all his family, kids, grand-kids, nephews and nieces. Why?? 'Cause, if it's true, that's some great skiing down there!!!

'The first day was awesome'
Snow arrives early at Snowbird
Snowbird marks its second-earliest start in 38 years

Michael Plummer was looking forward to the ski season after sitting out all of last year because of a torn anterior cruciate ligament. But he didn't think it would come this early. Tuesday's snowstorm kicked off a five-day accumulation that has reached about 46 inches of snow, allowing Snowbird Ski Resort to open Friday, the second-earliest start in the resort's 38-year history. The resort didn't open until Nov. 28 last year.

"It feels fantastic to be out this early. I forgot how it felt to be out here," said Plummer, who was at the resort with his son and some friends. "It's pretty good skiing. There's some rocks showing through, but I'm not picky. I'm hoping this means a long and epic season." Seabury Davies of Park City pauses as he waits for his friends Sunday before getting on the Snowbird Ski Resort tram for another run of skiing. Since Friday, skiers and boarders at Snowbird have taken advantage of the resort's second-earliest start in its 38-year history.

Snowbird is the only resort open so far, giving skiers and snowboarders a head start on the season. Most resorts typically open after Thanksgiving.

OOOPs, guess AlGore isn't in this story!!!!

Well, he will be in the next one, for sure....

I certainly hope we are not going to do this anecdotal weather thing all winter long.. a snow fall is not an indicator of anything except it snowed early.. last weekend it was in the mid 60's here, does that cancel the snowfall???

Well, the fact that last year was one of record low temps world-wide, and the fact that temps have on aggragate dropped over the past 20 years MUST be of some interest to anyone remotely scientific around here.

Sh-h-h, not so loud, HB. AlGore has a temper problem much worse than John McCain ever thought of having. Al was told from birth: "you're daddy's a rich and powerful Senator, and you're gonna be pre-sy-dent some day. Now, off you go to Harvard, boy."

Whoops, how'd that turn out?!!

If Al Gore is flying over there to investigate, surely that means that ManBearPig is behind it...

2nd earliest snow in 38 years = climate change. See, those Nobel Prize winners are SMART.
