Re: Right-wing media feeds its post-election anger
What do you expect them to do?
That's what they do for a living !
Now lets talk about the left wing media.....
Chris Mathews was last seen heading to the mens room with an Obama
picture and a box of kleenex.
After the second plane hit the 2nd world trade center tower, Katie Couric
was quoted as saying "there must be something wrong with the air traffic
control system".

Good thing there was only 2 towers.
Just googled the alleged Katie Couric quote, nothing comes up do you have a source??
Gotta remember one thing here, he will be prez for 4 years, and many will live or die dependent on his financial decisions.. it is in everyone's best interest for him to succeed.

Obama can create jobs & help people to help themselves save lives through economic policy.
But let's be clear...CRYSTAL CLEAR....just for a moment.
No politician will be able to fix the economy. Look at Japan whose stock market peaked 18 years ago and economy has remained fairly stagnant ever since. Despite every conceiveable government remedy, nothing has changed.
Capitalistic economies correct themselves ONLY if governments allow them to. Gov't economic policy has a far greater chance of damaging our economy than helping it.
Take the proposed "economic stimulus" checks that were sent out last spring. I don't think I need to say what has happened since then. The last thing Americans need is another "check" sent to them.

I was watching the today show when the 2nd plane hit.
Katie Couric said "there must be something wrong with the air traffic control
system".
I agree with you that we all need to support Obama.
I also want him to succeed now that he is our president.
There is far too much on the line.

Being stupid is not nearly as nefarious and dishonest as this crap:
Quote:
"The Obama recession is in full swing, ladies and gentlemen," Limbaugh told his radio audience of 15 million to 20 million on Thursday. "Stocks are dying, which is a precursor of things to come. This is an Obama recession. Might turn into a depression."
Re: Right-wing media feeds its post-election anger
The right wing talk shows are scared to death of the OVERTURNED "Fairness Doctorine".
On October 22, 2008, Senator Jeff Bingaman, Democrat of New Mexico, told a conservative talk radio host in Albuquerque, NM that "I would want this station and all stations to have to present a balanced perspective and different points of view," and "All I’m saying is that for many, many years we operated under a Fairness Doctrine in this country, and I think the country was well-served. I think the public discussion was at a higher level and more intelligent in those days than it has become since.
I believe that the Fairness doctorine violates freedom of speech.
Are they going to censor Fox, Jay Sevrin, Rush Limbaugh and allow CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, NPR, PBS to continue with their left wing only broadcasts?
Like it or not, right wing talk radio is far more successful than left wing talk radio.
Just ask Stuart Smalley & Air America radio.

The right wing talk shows fear is paranoia for two reason.
1) Because one senator supports it hardly means it is high on the agenda of anyone else. Obama has not been pushing for it.
2) It would not kill right wing talk radio. Might require cutting back on the right wingers and adding a left winger here and there. There could be some shuffling. But it that would just mean you tune into Fox to catch Oberman and MSNBC for O'Reily.

Senators Kerry, Clinton, Boxer, Feinstein. Now the Speaker of the House. All in favor of reinstituting the Fairness Doctrine to restrict your First Amendment rights. And there will be other top Democrats who will come out in favor of it, because there is political safety in numbers. The more who are for it, the easier it is for all of them to be for it.
