BOSTON (AP) - An immigration lawyer for President-elect Obama's aunt says she wants to fight a deportation order and stay in the United States.
The Associated Press found that Zeituni Onyango (zay-TUHN on-YANG-oh) is staying with relatives in Cleveland after fleeing her public housing apartment in Boston. She had been living there for five years.

If Obama had "taken care" of her you and RW and other anti-immigration zealots on this board would have been going even more ape shyte than you already are. The fact that he didn't only reflects the truth that you don't want to accept; he has a very diasporic and scattered family and didn't know about her situation or his brothers' and if he did, he didn't want to abuse his power by doing favors for relatives. The fact that people like you want to blame someone for their family situation is very telling.

She already had her day in court. Why hasn't she been shipped out of the country yet? Shouldn't she be charged with fraud, for lying about her immigration status in obtaining public housing? How does a person who gets a day in court, is told to leave, and then doesn't, while committing fraud for 5 years, demand another day in court?

I'm not going to argue with any of that (though obviously we disagree), but why is this a knock against Obama?
