McCain did the same damn thing. It is a non-issue. If you think the republicans actually would fight over this, then Obama should send Edwards nomination to the senate first let the repubs burn what little political capital they have on filibuster over nothing and get most of America even more pissed at the republicans for being obstructionists.

Look I think Edwards would make a great sec of labor. But these guys are trying to start a fresh clean administration and this would look bad real bad to the general public. They out cry might be so great that Joebama might be forced to dump him which would look like they were incompeteant for picking him in the first place.
