Default A Call for a Boycott

From today until the election, I will not post in any smear thread from now until the elections. I had avoided them for 2 months and started again recently and it's made me sick.

I realize I don't speak for everyone here but I'd like to invite everyone to join me. If not, then I ask all democrats to boycott smear threads from now until the election. If that is too much (because I know how we like to debate here) how about if we boycott all Fogbuster threads?

I'd like to get some feedback so "if" we are going to do one of the above, I know which one it is. obviously the last suggestion would be the easiest solution.

comments please.

I had this discussion with A.Paul just before he melted down into otis driftwood
I use to be like you then I realized one day who I was dealing with. I'm an Ind. but the amount of trash throw out there drove me farther and farther to the left. I came to realize no matter how I tried to argue a point with objectivity that it was like talking to a wall.
And let me be clear the lefties here thought I was a righty at this time last year.
I don't try to smear,I try to point out lies and hypocrisy. Palin is a different matter I just quote her. It speaks for itself.

I promise not to bring up the fact Fog is a nutcase or that McCain left his wife while she was recuperating from a car accident to marry a young, rich, woman or that Palin is a dope. We are above that kind of nonsense and I wont do it.

I'm humbled by the compliment but will try my best to live up to it.

I will second that. The problem of course, what is a smear (which is obvious). If I post a thread pertaining to Palin, some people will call it a smear, while my point might be that she is unqualified or has committed a gaffe while speaking. This will be followed up by what is constituted as a smear.

HD: smear is for bagels.

HD: Oh....SCHmear!? ........Carry ON!

On the serious:
It can't be stopped, all is fair in politics. Smears are put out there for the dumb and easily swayed. I enjoy debunking smears. However .... every now and then, I assume something is a smear, go out to disprove it, and find out that its the truth. I guess at that point its not smear.

I'm going cross-eyed......

Point is.....ignore 'em or prove 'em wrong.

Imagine democrats not smearing anybody, go to some of the "left wing blogs" if you want to see some real crap, some of them had Barbara bush making love to a gorilla, another one had G Bush, Condi Rice and The Pope all having sex in the Oval Office.

Dumpocrats invented "Smear" thats one of the reasons I left them, watch David Letterman, listen to Al Franken, "moveon.org" SNL, Oliver Stone, Michael ***** Belly Moore etc etc.

Lets not bring up that Obama associates with bigots and murdering domestic terrorists.
