You implied that there are more people registered as Republican than Democratic when they reach a certain age. Well that's not the case.

Times have changed. The parties have basically switched electorates since the Civil Rights Bill, championed by two Democratic Presidents, was passed.
Yeah, I'm sure Abe Lincoln, and Jackie Robinson would be solidly behind the republican party now.....I'm sure they would all agree with their make the rich richer, and trickle down economical theories. I'm sure they'd all agree with torture, and pre-emptive war....
McGovern would yak in his own mouth after seeing what was done to thius nation in the name of 'conservatism'
Deus,
let me ask you ONE question:
Are you aware of the hijacking of the republican party?

No, they haven't.

The Ron Paul Republicans will slowly replace and restore the republican party to where it stood for something and followed through with what it stood for... The Neo-Con version of the GOP is what is wrong, not Republicans and their ideals, but the New-Con agenda...
Who will restore the Democratic Party to where it stood for the working man, patriotism, law and order, common sense, decency, Christianity and American Apple Pie, it once stood for all these things, I was a member of that party then, I didn't leave them, they left me when the Far Left Wing Bastards took over.

A USA TODAY/MTV/Gallup Poll of registered voters 18 to 29 years old shows Democrat Barack Obama leading Republican John McCain by 61%-32%, the most lopsided contest within an age group in any presidential election in modern times.
...
Some Republicans fear that whatever the outcome Nov. 4, movement of this generation to Obama could set political views through their lifetimes, reverberating in future elections.
"This is the equivalent of the Reagan brigades, where a whole class of people identify with a politician," says Dan Bartlett, a veteran of the Bush White House, calling it "a real wake-up call" for the GOP. Bartlett, 37, grew up during Reagan's presidency, which begat a generation of young conservatives.
There's a real old saying in politics. If you're not a Democrat when you're in your 20s you don't have a heart. If you're not voting Republican by the time you're in your 30s you don't have a brain. I subscribe to neither party but, I don't think 20 somethings have EVER voted conservative in any numbers. And now with not only their teachers pounding the Republicans bad mantra, they get their news from The Daily Show (the MSM is in the Dem tank anyways), and countless yellow dog Democrat gotcha blogs what would you expect? Unless they actually try VERY hard to find an alternate view point they NEVER hear one.

I don't think JFK would be thrilled with the Democrat party these days. He actually fought communism. And McCain is actually left of a JFK Democrat.
