I agree with you 110%...strange how some issues can bring people together. I sent about 30 faxes and 50 emails to members of congress asking them all not to support the bill.

But Americans will forget about this money and what happens to it. We going to be too busy trying to survive financially over the next 5 years to pay attention.

Eff arshols....without a doubt!

We'll "some" loosening of the lending markets, but no big impact on the direction of the economy. There are too many pieces of the house of cards falling. We could make a list that would be depressing...no pun intended.

Declining real estate markets
Over-leveraged consumers...too much debt
Declining consumer confidence and spending
Declining orders for durable goods
A dieing US auto industry
A sky rocketing unemployment rate

No matter what is spent by our government, we're going to be difficult times for a while. One of the market experts on CNN said she doesn't see the economy really turning around until 2015.

the consumers who account for such a big portion of the gross natl product don't have any more cash. they spent all their money and congress wants them to borrow more. and the people who did save lost money in their 401k's.

too much american hubrous

I can't see how the people supported this?

it seems like congress caved into the panic and went against the people's wishes
