"I send warm greetings to American Muslims and Muslims around the world observing Eid al-Fitr, the Festival of Breaking the Fast.
"Eid al-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, a time of prayer, reflection, and fasting. It is the holiest month of the Muslim year. To celebrate this holiday, many Muslims gather in their homes and mosques to thank God for His blessings and His help in keeping the fast. Muslims also demonstrate their compassion by reaching out to the less fortunate and giving gifts of money or food to help those in need. This year, many American Muslims have reached out to the victims of Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and Wilma and to those affected by the devastating earthquake in South Asia. Their contributions have been generous and reflect the important values shared by all Americans.
"Our Nation is blessed to count many Muslims among our fellow citizens. As Americans, we share a commitment to family, a belief in God's justice and man's moral responsibility, and hope for a future of peace and tolerance.
"Laura and I send our best wishes for a joyful celebration. Eid Mubarak."
GEORGE W. BUSH
The McCain campaign can't do anything right at the moment.

Great example, and we all know how upset the righties were when Obama used a few lines that Deval Patrick used. Imagine, with their sense of personal responsibility, how upset they will be at this!
Thanks for the post Seymore. I've been waiting for a topic with some real substance to debate. I think he said Happy New year last year to several people, never giving credit that it been said many times before by millions. That did it for me. I'm voting for Obabma.
Do you honestly think that either McCain or Bush wrote that email. It is probabaly written by the same speech writer. Because unlike Obama, neither one of them IS A MUSLIM, Aand was schooled in an Muslim school, so they don't really know what Ramadan is all about. Once Obama is elected and he puts the US under Sharia laws, we will all know...

Who knows? I doubt the McCain campaign will comment on this. But McCain is trying to run as far away from Bush as possible, yet he has no problem using Bush's words here.

If you really think McCain even read or approved that letter you are extremely naive.
