Default Please take a vow of civility in the forum

Things are only going to get more heated in coming weeks, but can we keep the heat on Obama, McCain, Republicans, Democrats, conservatives, liberals, and not on each other?

Please, let's start a new page from today, and do our best to:
(1) not insult each other
(2) not bait each other
(3) not respond to insults with more insults
(4) not hijack threads

If we can't do this, then there will be no choice but for the moderators to crack down and issue far more infractions, not only to the one who started the insults, but the one's who responded with insults as well. And, the worse thing about that, the moderators will have no choice but to apply their own subjectivity as to what constitutes an insult.

Please, we are a community, and we are at the very least like-minded in that we enjoy politics and also enjoy discussing issues of importance to our nation and its people.

A very simple answer is just enforce existing rules.. vows have different meanings for different people..

Yeah my retroactive virginity pledge took some working out and exceptions but it's holding

Of course I've got it whittled down to no animals kids or breath play, but by God it's working.
