Default McCain.."I have opposed the president on torture of prisoner"..

Did not get the opportunity to watch the debate, instead heard it on the news one thing that struck me was McCain claiming he opposed Bush on torture.. if he did that why did he support Bush's Veto and vote against the bill passsed by congress.. maybe I am missing something here, maybe he is pandering, maybe he is just a flat out delusional liar.. can never understand how a nation founded on Christian principals, as we are reminded of so often on this board, can endorse this practice..

TPMMuckraker | Talking Points Memo | McCain: Bush Should Veto Anti-Torture Bill

Quote:
Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) voted against a bill in the Senate that would have confined the CIA to interrogations outlined in the Army Field Manual -- that means no ambiguity about the use of waterboarding or other "enhanced interrogation" techniques

there's tons of these kinds of "what the hell?" issues following mcZombie... and i'm truly baffled as to why the Obama camp isn't using any and all of them...

Forrestal is another...

Keating 5 is another...

as is the situation with his first wife...

anti-environmental voting record yet another...

the Obama campaign is being too decent... there's absolutely no denying that. ... bringing a knife to a gun fight...

McSame is a disaster...

"At the same time, he stresses that the 2006 Detainee Treatment Act, the bill he himself sponsored, prohibits the use of any cruel, inhumane, or degrading treatment and treatment that "shocks the conscience."
