Gov. Blunt Statement on Obama Campaign’s Abusive Use of Missouri Law Enforcement
JEFFERSON CITY - Gov. Matt Blunt today issued the following statement on news reports that have exposed plans by U.S. Senator Barack Obama to use Missouri law enforcement to threaten and intimidate his critics.
“St. Louis County Circuit Attorney Bob McCulloch, St. Louis City Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce, Jefferson County Sheriff Glenn Boyer, and Obama and the leader of his Missouri campaign Senator Claire McCaskill have attached the stench of police state tactics to the Obama-Biden campaign.
“What Senator Obama and his helpers are doing is scandalous beyond words, the party that claims to be the party of Thomas Jefferson is abusing the justice system and offices of public trust to silence political criticism with threats of prosecution and criminal punishment.

“This abuse of the law for intimidation insults the most sacred principles and ideals of Jefferson. I can think of nothing more offensive to Jefferson’s thinking than using the power of the state to deprive Americans of their civil rights. The only conceivable purpose of Messrs. McCulloch, Obama and the others is to frighten people away from expressing themselves, to chill free and open debate, to suppress support and donations to conservative organizations targeted by this anti-civil rights, to strangle criticism of Mr. Obama, to suppress ads about his support of higher taxes, and to choke out criticism on television, radio, the Internet, blogs, e-mail and daily conversation about the election. “Barack Obama needs to grow up.Leftist blogs and others in the press constantly say false things about me and my family. Usually, we ignore false and scurrilous accusations because the purveyors have no credibility. When necessary, we refute them. Enlisting Missouri law enforcement to intimidate people and kill free debate is reminiscent of the Sedition Acts - not a free society.”
FBN's a Pro at it. He reuns a mini camp in the spring about subterfuge
The link ... and you did not read it ... was a speech from the govenor of Missouri. of course it's easier to make a crappy remark and ignore the truth, I get it and I'm used to it.
It'd be nice to see some specific accusations, that just looks like a baseless partisan rant.
where do I start?
Here's one ... I can provide as many as you want. The Obama campaign wants to ban signs on a public college built on public land. Fredericksburg.com - Signs of liberty
Quote:
Mr. Obama, the Democratic nominee for president, is scheduled to speak at a rally at the university today. The public is invited to this forum, on property it, the public, owns. However, signs and banners will not be allowed, according to the organizers and compliant campus officials. Suddenly, UMW is a First Amendment-Free, or at least a First Amendment-Crippled, Zone, subject to the self-serving preferences of politicos. Why does an Obama rally--or a McCain rally or a Nader rally--justify taking a little off the top of Americans' most fundamental rights?
Gov. Matt Blunt of Missouri has ordered that the Confederate battle flag be flown Sunday at a state cemetery where former rebel soldiers were buried, a move denounced by black leaders.
A spokesman for Governor Blunt, a Republican, said the flag would fly at the Confederate Memorial State Historic Site in Higginsville for a Confederate Memorial Day service. But the spokesman said Mr. Blunt also supported a review of whether it would be appropriate to fly the flag regularly at the site.
The flag had flown daily at the Higginsville site until it was ordered down in 2003 by the administration of Gov. Bob Holden, a Democrat.
Perhaps you can offer us all reaction from one of your "black friends" at work.
Make your own threads and take your racist crap with you.

Here's what else the forum is quite used to, "projects" tough guy: You, trumpeting the inane ramblings of another blantantly racist politician...

Another turd of a thread.... Nice try... Your war-mongering candidate of choice is still losing.
Make your own threads and take your racist crap with you.
Ummm... the racist here would be you.... Same smear, same disdain for the black candidate... Same post history of anti-minority sentiment... On and on and on.
Transparent much?
Another Reich Winger over-compensating for something with large bold font.
