I agree with your post. As you indicate it comes down to how poeple define themselves. what makes their identitity?
for many people a large part of their identity is their ancestry, it gives people comfort and reassurance of who they are. as they say you can always go home. but like you say there is a negativie aspect of it for instance it would be like saying every italian is a mobster, etc.
i prefer to look at people's actions and character. you can look at their words but they are words. actions speak louder. but it's a message board so we only have words.
