This is one of the best interview of an investment guy I've heard in a while. He's not a doom & gloomer, but he talks realistically about how Americans have been like the guy who didn't want to stop partying...so he goes on a bender. And the longer the bender, the worse the hang-over will be.

It's only 4 minutes and I think worth the listen.

We ARE going to have to go through a difficult time ahead. Unfortunately, we're so conditioned to immediate gratification, it WILL be like drug withdrawl. Put the credit away or cut them up. but what you can afford and save your arse off. You know, it wasn't too long ago that WAS the American way of life...

As I said on another thead, if we pop next week I'm moving largely to case but would keep 100% of new 401K contributions in the market to give me some upside.

BF...The 50-60% thing was doomy, I'll admit. But the man had a lot of interesting and realistic things to say. He did not seem pompous like a lot of those guys. I don't think the it will drop that mush either, but I'm a amatuer.

We gotta stay positive no matter what we hear. If I had to build a house from cut trees and learn to hunt for food, I'd still enjoy life. Who knows, it might even be more gratifying. I mean that. Either way, you have to celebrate the days we are blessed with, cuz they get fewer and fewer every day.
