CORAL GABLES, Fla. -- Sen. Barack Obama today met with some of his many economic advisors and made an announcement that he was not going to make an announcement about any new plan to plan plans.
Does this come as a shock to anyone? Obama, make a decision, HA!
Wait, I know what the problem is. The answer was not on his teleprompter. He'll get back to us as soon as it's cue'ed.
I like this quote:
Quote:
Obama's inaction prompted Jay Leno in his opening monologue tonight on "The Tonight Show" to point out an essential presidential campaign unfairness, that Obama has criticized McCain's economic plan but the Republican can't respond because "nobody knows" what Obama's is yet.
And then this one:
Quote:
After meeting with his top economic advisers, the Democratic presidential candidate said this was not the time to present specific details for how to fix the immediate problem, a reversal from what he had said a day earlier. Nor did he explain when a good time would be to explain such a rescue from the current financial crisis.
ROFL, he was for specific details before he was against them. Just another example of who this man really is. All talk, no substance. Maybe Michelle will tell him what his policy is and have it added to his teleprompter rotation.
Look sad and say DOH Barack.

Re: Obama votes 'present' on new economic rescue plan for now
Just because McCain isn't an economic expert the media seems to be placing Obama as the expert on the economy out of this matchup; I have no idea why, he has no more expertise on the economy than McCain does.

ahh, but there in lies the rub. McCain, while not an expert is not afraid to take a stance, make a decision. Obama seems to want to have every last detail and the opinions of almost everyone before he will make one. Seems to want to please everyone, you can't.
Obama is a smart man, maybe to smart. You don't have to be a genius to be a great leader.
Between these two clowns I'll take McCain.

Intelligence has little to do with being able to make a decision.
BTW, I hate you. You are making me defend him and I won't do it. I'll not play your reindeer games.
well played sir, well played

From what I read this morning McCain is not making a stance either, otoh why make a stance if you have not seen the details of the bill in question?? Wouldn't an intelligent candidate, want the details before he offered a final position....

Re: Obama votes 'present' on new economic rescue plan for now
So far, McCain has said that the fundamentals of our economy are strong and then backtracked, that our healthcare system should be modeled after out banking system and then backtracked, advocated deregulation for years and is now complaining tht Wall Street has "reckless management and a casino culture"; says that he would fire the SEC chief should be fired and finds that the president can't do that.
As Obama said, McCain is panicking, while Obama is taking a few days to examine the issue.
With threads like this, no wonder Republicans have delivered us to this economic crisis. "React, then think," seems to be the Republican creed.
So far, McCain seems to be once again allying himself with Bush by calling for a bailout without making specific demands for oversight, more proof that McCain is no maverick.
