Chris Matthews makes me fart porridge, but he has asked a very interesting question today regarding the recent financial 'situation'....
MATTHEWS: Iím just asking you whereís the President of the United States tonight? You got Paulson out there. Whereís the President? Heís pulling one of these Katrinas again. Where is he? The countryís worried like hell when you lose this amount of value in the wealth of this country in a matter of days. Youíd think the President would come on television and explain the situation to the American people. Iím just asking where he is. Thatís all Iím asking.
where is our President?

In Texas, dumb *****, I guess since there were white people who lost there stuff, you don't care about Ike.
he was making speeches the day AFTER the last hurricaine at the republican convention that he wasn't invited to....
seriously? I hope to fukc you are not accusing me of racism, wondering where the president is as a voice of reason during a scary time for a lot of americans who have questions about their savings, and the genral financial direction the country seems to be going in. I'm sure people in Texas ravaged by the hurricaine have the same questions with about 3,000% more urgency.
pretty valid question on Matthews part, and the person being interviewed about it (Representative Cantor from Virginia) had no answer.
CANTOR: Chris, youíll have to ask ó I donít know where he is. I assume heís in the White House.
WASHINGTON - With little explanation, President George W. Bush on Tuesday scrapped a statement he planned to give on the tumultuous financial markets, abandoning any press coverage of his meeting with key economic advisers as more developments roiled Wall Street.
As announced by the White House, Bush was scheduled to make comments to a pool of reporters after huddling with a key financial working group led by Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson. Its members include Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke and other key government figures in the field of commerce.
Yet after the session began, the White House told the media to never mind.
Spokesman Tony Fratto said only, "We decided it would be best to limit public comment about markets today." He declined to offer any explanation.
The meeting went on as planned.
love it when peeps point the finger at being a 'dumb asterisks'.....
