Default Wow, what an awesome display

Imagine that, they not only filled a stadium, but it looks like they filled the field as well. And the Democratic candidates are not shying away from issues, talking about unions, wages, women's rights, and so on. They are taking it to the Republicans, and we'll really find out if the United States is ready for a return to the tolerance and optimism of the Democrats or want to stay with the the deficit spending, war raging Republicans. Look how the Democratic Party reflects America's diversity -- black, white, Latino, women, Asians, gays, straights, Christians, and so on. Republicans, though, probably don't know enough to be embarrassed by their lack of diversity. I think the idea behind bringing together so many people was to demoralize the Republican Party. Already Republicans are lashing out with insane attacks on Obama; I wonder what they'll do next. I'll tell you this: If they don't engage in sleazy tactics, the Republicans don't have a chance.

What have these glorious speaking people who have control of Congress done since they took control of Congress? Nice to have a rainbow of people ... it's very American ... but give them something for their support instead of hope and lip service and then the democrats will get respect.

Yeah, those 75,000 voters can't be matched. Patters is like a little girl, amazed at every little thing. Wow, look at Hillary's speech. Wow, look Daddy, a full stadium.

So true! My son just asked, "Daddy, where do they all go to the bathroom?"

How appropriate.

They don't have control because of the man in the White House.

There's no sour grapes, you're just being stupid. You see a full stadium and you say they can't lose. You are a complete and total joke. If you haven't noticed, before the convention Obama had a tiny lead; it expanded a little today and will expand a little tomorrow - normal convention bounce and then the same will happen for McCain in the opposite direction in a week. Then it will be close. You tell me to grow up when you're over-reacting like a little 6 year old girl. LMFAO.

I was thinking that. Depends on how the media spins it.

1. Media spins it as we need the Republicans to stay in power to protect us from Iran and other terrorists.

2. Media spins it as Republicans have done nothing to lower gas prices when the gas prices double or triple due to the Strait of Hormuz being shut down. And Democrats are looked upon as the good guys.

What a shock, Patters is impressed by Dem speeches! Patters, your post is cheerleading, nothing more. You completely ignore the fact that the Dems are supporting deficit spending by approving the budget, approving additional war funding, and approving things like stimulus handouts. You ignore the fact that many Dems, Hillary, Biden, Kerry among them voted for the war in Iraq, and continued supporting it years after the fact. Many Dems support the idea of leaving a military option on the table in Iran. Many, Biden and Obama among them fervently support making war in the Sudan to resolve the genocide there. Obama has said he wants to invade Pakistan to hunt Al Qaeda. On and on.

I do agree that it is a shame the Republican party is not more diverse, but I lament that so many are fooled by the easy answers peddled by Democrats to get votes. I'm also disappointed by the Republicans, that they have gone from the party of principle and ideas to the party of trying to stay in power and line their pockets, a mirror image of what the Dems used to be. They'll lose more seats in Congress this year, and probably the White House, and they deserve it.
