Heard from my sister....she, my brother, nephew and niece are safe. I was really worried. they went in by boat and were at Bunker Hill monument. That easily could have been a target. I'm relieved and very tired....
I can't watch this stuff all night. I'll leave it to you stronger, more patient folks

They've confirmed one of the victims was an 8 year old. Having lost a child my heart breaks for the family. My ten year old and her soccer team were stand right where that bomb had gone off 45 minutes earlier. My wife and I were as mess right up until they got off the train in Braintree.
One of the women crossing the line as the bomb goes off is on the same triathlon team as I am and another was volunteering and saw both bombs go off. Luckily both are fine. I know about 20 people that raced today and was frantically checking Facebook for word on all of them. Everybody was ok.
I support the death penalty but only wish they would do it in the least humane way possible.
"When Peyton Manning was a kid he used to go to bed at night and dream about throwing the winning touchdown for the Saints in the Superbowl. And on Sunday he did."
“That’s the thing I didn’t like about the announcing part: They want you to be loud, argumentative and definitive,” says Montana. “You didn’t have to be right.”

University of Mobile’s Cross Country Coach, who was near the finish line of the Boston Marathon when a series of explosions went off, said he thought it was odd there were bomb sniffing dogs at the start and finish lines.
"They kept making announcements to the participants do not worry, it's just a training exercise," Coach Ali Stevenson told Local 15.
Stevenson said he saw law enforcement spotters on the roofs at the start of the race. He's been in plenty of marathons in Chicago, D.C., Chicago, London and other major metropolitan areas but has never seen that level of security before.
"Evidently, I don't believe they were just having a training exercise," Stevenson said. "I think they must have had some sort of threat or suspicion called in."
