Default One More Example of Obama's New Brand of Politics

http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pitt.../s_584284.html

Quote:

U.S. Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign paid more than $800,000 to an offshoot of the liberal Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now for services the Democrat's campaign says it mistakenly misrepresented in federal reports.
An Obama spokesman said Federal Election Commission reports would be amended to show Citizens Services Inc. -- a subsidiary of ACORN -- worked in "get-out-the-vote" projects, instead of activities such as polling, advance work and staging major events as stated in FEC finance reports filed during the primary.
Quote:
But, said Blair Latoff, spokeswoman for the Republican National Committee: "Barack Obama's failure to accurately report his campaign's financial records is an incredibly suspicious situation that appears to be an attempt to hide his campaign's interaction with a left-wing organization previously convicted of voter fraud. For a candidate who claims to be practicing 'new' politics, his FEC reports look an awful lot like the 'old-style' Chicago politics of yesterday."
Yup ... different all right. If American voters thought the Jimmy Carter people were corrupt wait until they see the Chicago gang infiltrate DC.

Acorn is a pretty good organization, but would not expect you folks to like it.. they have done a great deal of good in many of our cities.

Acorn is great if you like Marxist who regularily engage in voter fraud.

I would suspect that response, and if that is the answer you would never understand.. time to move on from this one.

If you are interested, here is the ACORN website.. but you will find issue with something they do.

ACORN is a good organization that has been misrepresented and lied about by the right. While ACORN is large and diverse enough that some of its many individual members have done commited voter registration fraud, the organization as a whole is quite mainstream. I suppose if we accuse ACORN of being a corrupt organization, the same would go for the Republican Party which in the last year or so has had people use their office for purposes of sexual abuse or fraudulent economic gain.

The radical right lied to invade Iraq. If they have no shame for killing 4000 troops, how can we expect them to have the integrity to honestly represent a group like ACORN? Only from a fascist (or ignorant) perspective can one believe ACORN is Marxist, but the radical right has a strong fascist streak. That's why they're so willing to defend a war based on lies or incompetence even though it led to the deaths of 4000 troops.
