Why are you comparing a comment about an entire state to a city/town? A state or munipality can go bankrupt for many reasons. Illegal immigration isn't the explanation for every instance of bankruptcy. See Detroit Michigan

That's pretty ironic and funny PatriotsReign, because you did that VERY thing in establishing this thread.

Answer below:

YOUR thread with the title "Once again, CALIFORNIA (caps mine) shines"

My Lord, no wonder people make fun of CALIFORNIA (once again, caps mine) so often! This is clearly the decision of a group of clowns.

Hopefully, the guy is fired before he even starts. The people of San Bernadino deserve better.
Who gets to break the news to PatriotsReign that San Bernadino ISN'T a state? And btw, PR Birmingham is the largest city and Jefferson is the largest county in Alabama. San Bernadino's importance in CA doesn't even compare.

So are you saying that you don't believe that illegal immigration is a driving reason behind the financial problems in California?

San Bernadino basically hired a known loser....a PROVEN loser...and they hired him anyway. So go figure.
Sounds like they made a lousy choice. My post was in response to the member who ranted about a particular party being the blame. So the municipality elected a loser while the state of Florida elected a crook (is detail regarding this individual needed?). Both were ethcial issues, although one was elected and one appointed. I did not mean to derail the post, I just get bent out of shape one someone starts blaming a single party when the issues are univiersal.

I am perplexed by people who blame everything on a party myself ... IMO they all suck pretty much equally over a period of time.

No. Illegal immigration is a big problem, and I am far to the right of many dems and repubs on that issue. I simply feel that people who break the law should not be rewarded for doing so.

What I was saying is that it isn't the major reason a municipality can go bankrupt. Mismanagement is a far likelier culprit.

I live in Montgomery County, Maryland. I can guarantee you the southern half of my county has more illegal immigrants from Central America than anywhere else in the US. The county still retains a Triple A rating from S+P, Moodys and Fitch while spending lavishly on its top notch public school system.

Performance counts. Looking for scapegoats is the domain of losers throughout history.

Mao blamed intellectuals, Hitler blamed the Jews, Southerners blamed the blacks and losers blame their problems on illegal immigrants. Economic mismanagement is the reason, not the guy cutting your lawn.

Nothing like a little hyperbole, Hitler and the guy who cuts your lawn. Scintillating analysis, illegals aren't really a big deal when you put it that way, thanks for your help.

That's funny......neither Mao nor hitler had to worry about people trying to come in and mooch

Really really poor example
