Default Anarchy at the DNC???

Figure would bring this up, kindof a preemptive strike, be prepared the anarchists are descending on Denver in order to disrupt the Dem convention.. a whole host of extreme views will be advocated for and probably a whole lot of violence.. without regard the question becomes are the Dems responsible for this or are the anarchists responsible?? Have not heard they are invited.. Rage will follow to Minnesota, but not sure if there is a comparable event there..

Everyone repeat after me... These are anarchists, not the democratic party.. a very simple concept

Here is the link to one of the ongoing events..

Every Night During the DNC

The City of Denver banned camping in an attempt to suppress our demonstrations. We outwitted them though. The "Freedom Cage," the laughable 50,000 sq feet surrounded by razor wire and caging is useless for having your voice heard, but its open 24 hrs a day and it'll work to "feign" sleep.

Saturday, Aug 23rd

5 pm - Pirates and Delegates Booty Feast

Meet at Gates Cresent Park. The Denver papers, the Rocky and the Post, are throwing a multi-million dollar party for the delegates and the media right across the creek. That's a lot of money! But, we're throwing a party for them too! There booty may be millions of dollars, but our booty is beer. And barbeque. Join us as we share our bounty with the delegates and let them know, even pirates want an immediate end to the war. (Why pirates you say? Well, we have to boat the delegates across the creek to arrrrgh barbeque!)

Denver: Disrupt the DNC, Monday Overview

come one come all: demand No Business As Usual when the Democrats get together for their capitalist fundraising orgy. While they're giving
windbag speeches and doing really bad karaoke and charging a thousand dollars a plate to fill their election coffers - anarchists, agitators, and other assorted clowns and queers will be on-hand to disrupt the flow of capital and corporate cronyism that funds this sham democracy\

Quote:
A group of self-described anarchists threatening to disrupt the Democratic National Convention is promising to go away if the $50 million federal grant that Denver received to pay for convention security is invested in the community instead.

"As anarchists, we feel the greatest problem with government is how its primary interest is to protect the profits of those in power, even when it comes at the expense of the general public," Clayton Dewey, an organizer with Unconventional Denver, said in a statement.

"Spending $50 million on weaponry to attack people voicing their opinion and flooding the streets with riot police while schools close down, children go without health care and people lose their homes is exactly the problem with the corrupt two-party system we're opposing this August," he said.

Lindy Eichenbaum Lent, a senior adviser to Mayor John Hickenlooper, said the grant is needed to protect the public, including protesters.

I swear many of these people are lifetime "cause" people. They don't really work, they just find a cause. And whent they get board, they find a new cause. Kinda like those who are lifetime students. Once they get on campus, they never want to venture into to the real world so they become grad students, teaching assistants, doctoral students, continuing education students, university without walls students until they're 50. Ok, ok, some do become professors

I think they are lifetime middle class kids who get by getting high and raising hell.. sound intelligent sometimes, but in reality they have destroyed so many brain cells they have little to offer.

What part of this is false?

You do realize you have just perfectly described the democrat party.

Well put. Ever seen PCU? They openly mock these types of people with the "causeheads," the people on campus who pick a new cause every week. Colleges are so weird, because they're little worlds where the impressionable youth read a lot about ideas and such (I'm not claiming indoctrination, though I'm sure it happens in some cases) and get jazzed up about said ideas. And you're right, if they never leave and get any world experience, they're liable to remain seeing the world with the rose-colored glasses (and roses are RED - yes that's a commie joke ).

Harry is right about these people ... I'm glad to be an independant I am not sure how anyone can staunchly defend either party and the loons that are part of them.

HAHA great point. Talk about irony. The only people I've met that endorse anarchy are teenagers who've listened to the Dead Kennedy's too much. I mean, sure I like less govenrment too, but anarachy is just not feasible. It's like the extreme wing of libertarianism, which is already fairly extreme.
