Default My observation of this board...

1- you guys are having a blast... you like to make jokes and have fun rather than talking football, but that's what you get for being historic 16-0... I wish I knew the feeling... Oh and CONGRATULATION!

2- some are serious football fans but many are homers, not surprising though

3- you are pathetic for having a pathological obsession with any smallest slights on your team (real, perceived, or contrived)... you pay attention and make threads on the most insignificant things as if you don't have enough topics to talk about...

4- you don't take any team seriously anymore perhaps except the Colts, but may be that's what 16-0 get to you.

5- old news but... you should be thankful to us for taking Elway and Denver out for your 2nd SB appearance. Ya wouldn't have thunk beating Denver in Denver, would ya?

am here curious to see why you guys think you'll blow us out. I am not offended, you are entitle to being confident in your team, but besides some who are serious and do not think an easy win, few give reasonable argument and many just give rah rah talks...

I think like every fan base and message board, we have a wide range of fans. You do have a point in that we tend to focuse on the negatives, howevere that's New England. As for me, I take every team seriously and JAX scares me. I think it's going to be a dog fight.

I feel the same way. A part of me wants to say "we're going to smoke the Jaguars," but in all reality, they do have the offensive weapons it takes to make it a very close game and possibly an upset.

i would appreciate it a lot if the refs didn't steal another Superbowl from this team.

i could really go for that not happening.

There's plenty of football talk here you just have to look for it. And since you insulted this board I will say what I have held my tongue on.

Your board is full of the DUMBEST football fans I've ever seen. Truly, the dumbest. I thought Colts fans were kidding, they weren't. You have had long threads fighting over what color shirt you are supposed to wear to the game!

First of all you have a defense that is predicated on being big and physical, but not very fast. This is going to allow Tom Brady to run the no huddle offense in a spread formation to tire out your D-line. The Pats will throw the football over 40 times in this game with some Maroney runs sprinkled in. You have 2 inexperienced linebackers that are going to be covering Welker and Watson that is automatically a mismatch. I forsee Brady slinging it all over the field. You offense is run oriented and if you can run the ball effectively with 8 men in the box like you have been doing as of late, you can stay in the game. But David Garrard is going to have to make some big plays in the passing game or this game will get out of control quickly. Brady and the offense is going to score points, it is a matter of can the Jags offense keep pace. I do not think so because if the Pats get up by 10 or 14 early, then you are going to throw more than run and that is where we start creating turnovers.

thanks for the discertation. Is Brunell still playing?

Obviously you'll find a lot of homers here but there are a lot of objective people here as well, who don't obsess over a slight as long as it is objective.

Anyways, there is no such thing as an easy win and I'm sure the Pats players feel the same way. Especially against a team like Jax that has a lot of momentum going in and plays a physical game. However, I think the double digit spread is justified for the following reasons:

1) The bye week. BB coached teams do NOT lose after the bye week. You are going up against a first ballot HOF coach who has made his mark through *preparation*. He has just been given an extra week to prepare, and that is the key point here, and possibly the biggest differentiating factor For every play that JAX ran a play this year, he has an answer for it at the ready, in every situation.

2) Matchups in the passing game. JAX secondary looked vulnerable against Pitts in the second half. You are going to have a tough time against Moss, welker, and company.

3) Big game experience. J Del rio vs BB, Garrard vs Brady, your defense against ours.

4) Combine the above with better talent and experience, and the double digit spread is justified.

I do like Reggie Nelson though. He's a keeper and has brought more than Merriweather, I dare say ( ducks for cover from the homer brigade)

Should be a good game, in the first half anyway. Good luck.

Thanks! Most of us are having a BLAST! There are a few Pats fans that try to be buzzkills, but they're trumped by the great majority that are enjoying an unbelievable ride!

First of all Mark, this our yard. we conduct business how We want to do it. Second, there all plenty of posts here explaining different views on how the game will go. Third, since you wanted an example, fine, I'll give one. Again. Your team is good, but not in the speed dept. Our rec. corp is top level for quickness and agility. I know of no players on the jags that can come close to Moss. Welker is another story. he can "get small" in a hurry and also is very quick. How about Tom? Ya think he can throw a bit? How about Asante? Think is isn't steath and quick? We can also run when we want. You are ok on the road, but this is playoffs now. A completly different animal. Your team likes to ground the runs and you will run the clock against yourselfs. Brady will give it to 3rd down and then grab another first to futher the run down of the clock. There are only 60 minutes to play and we have proven many times that we can score at will. I'm sure it will be a great game, but I have to say we come out on top. Oh and as far as being sensitive of any slight, you're GOD**M right we are. We have heard this ***** all year and takin it like the champs we are. Now its time to give back. The season speaks for itself and hopefully the Lombardi.
