Default Rex Ryan: "Tom Brady would be nice" as quarterback

Ryan jokes that he wants Brady as Jets' QB - New England Patriots Blog - ESPN Boston

I hate to admit it, but I have stopped hating Rex Ryan. He is consistently over-honest, and I'm starting to think it is pretty funny. That he said he wants Brady as QB, even as a joke, shows his respect for our boy.

The difference is that Brady calmly calls audibles while Manning flaps like a chicken, barks 11 code words, and makes sure every camera in the stadium has documented his once-in-a-generation (and patented, I believe) ability to see a defensive formation and change the play. Both have the same effect, but Manning transcends measurable human intellect while Brady merely chooses a different play.

Belichick should file a tampering charge, just for fun.

He can have him, for Revis and their next 20 first rounders.

I guess Rex is tired of fielding a quarterback whose idea for a scramble is to run full speed ahead into his RG's fluffy ass.

Obviously a ploy to build up the confidence of his own QBs. ...

if TFB would be nice, what would blow his socks off? Having a fictional character come to life and play QB for him?

I'd feel for Rex, if it wasn't for his own doing. This is a year where injuries caught up to him and the lack of depth reared it's ugly head.
