Too bad if true - and I mean that sincerely. With the possible exception of the Jets I'm perfectly happy to see us compete against every other team's top players - and hope the same thing for our team as well.

But my take early on after hearing about his surgery was that it wouldn't surprise me to see him miss regular season games, just because complications can and often do occur whenever someone has a procedure.

It was posted on the sportsline message board on the 8th. If there was any truth to this, it would have been picked up by now. Bogus rumor.

Bogus internet rumor started days ago and PFT did not even get a hold of it. I knew people would start stuff about Peyton eventually. He has been seen around camp by a few fans lately.

Apparently he is on track.

I hope he plays, I don't wish injury on anyone - especially a guy who has played that many games in a row and at such a high level. But believing the information that the team puts on an injured player in the NFL is not a smart thing to do.

Not sure I'd take him if I could.
