Sometimes I wonder if Belichick has never recovered from rules changes that favor the receiver. Bill's agressive secondary style that he used to beat the Colts/Rams all those earlier years doesn't fly now and I'm not sure he has been able to adapt besides loading up on offense. I'm still not quite sure if it's a teaching issue or talent issue in either case it's on Bill.

It's a talent issue, no doubt. That said, it's a coaching issue, too, because it was the coaching staff that made the moves, the consequences of which we are still seeing out there to this day.

That Ras-I Dowling pick is begining to sting we could have had two or three other impact players instead of him. Dowling have not live up to his Draft position.

Except none of that happened. What happened is that Capers had bigger jobs waiting for him.

The OL has not been anything near a weak spot as the secondary is

The Pats simply have failed at drafting or picking up a talented player at Safety or Corner for many years now

I'm listening to WEEI and Mut & Merloni right now on the secondar; they say that Belichick is one of the better coaches in the league, but then they compare him to Norv Turner.

Had to turn it off.

Are Mut & Merloni really this bad?

What is sad is even if the team has 2 good games against the Jets and Rams,Is it really going to change the problems or more likely, just delay them until the next solid team arrives?

This team appears once again to be able to beat the Sisters Of The Poor and fall to good teams.

Ed Reed is one of my favorite players of all time, but I really don't think we should be relying on a 35-year-old safety to be our savior.

that goes for a lot of the DBs taken in the last five -six years. You could write a book on "where are they now" theres been so many busts
