Default Trade material?

Opinions on possible Pats bubble players that could be worth something to other teams? Granted, teams could just wait it out to see if they are cut. But sometimes tossing a mid-to-late round pick can guarantee you get a guy you want.

Trevor Scott? (there seems to be adequate depth without him)
Brandon Deaderick? (VW, Love, Brace at DT...with Warren, Francis, Pryor, Fortson all at various stages of availability)

I'm personally not seeing any potential trade compensation, but I guess you never know.

I just think that whoever gets cut will be on par talent/name wise with a lot of the other cuts around the league, and remember we didn't even get anything for a 2x probowl first rounder last year in Meriweather.

I think if I was the GM of another team I would just wait nine more hours to see who becomes available rather than trade for any of those players mentioned. Just me personally but if I was looking to make a trade right now it would be for a higher caliber player, not a backup. How much of a delta is there going to be between them and any of the 700 players that will soon become free agents?

Think the odd 9PM deadline and the short waiver wire (noon tomorrow or 15 overnight hours) is leading to some gamesmanship. Also the fact that a couple of teams low on the priority list (not to mention teams like the JETS) have indicated they plan to be very active in filling out their rosters. More potential for trades albeit of the filenes basement variety.

The Patriots haven't told their players a thing yet. They are in meetings until 4PM when they have a walkthrough. Most players will probably know by then and leaks will commence via agents.

Personnel folks will make earn their money tonight. Obviously, most of the targets have been identified. However, ALL if the over 600 cuts will be reviewed.

Yes, the likely scenario, but deals do happen. Waiting for the cuts doesn't assure you that anything you want will be available. And even if something interesting does pop up, you cannot be certain to land the player as they could be picked off waivers or signed by another team.

Miami just got a late round pick For a backup OL that may have been on the chopping block.

Depending on where I was on the waiver wire list, I might give the patriots (or the giants) a 6th or 7th for a player they might cut. IMHO, almost any player who would make a team's roster is worth a 6th or 7th round draft choice.

IF they cut an interior OL, I could see any of Koppen, Wendell, McDonald and Thomas being worth at least a conditional pick. (My roster keeps them all, though!)
