Default Camp Observations

Sorry if I didn't see a thread for this. Post your observations/opinions on what you saw at training camp.

-Chandler Jones looks big, not the skinny/muscular look like I thought.
-Marcus Cannon looks cut and built.
-Donte Stallworth looks fast on routes and returning kicks, I give him a slight edge over Branch.
-Lloyd looks great. He made a sick deep catch outjumping Moore.
-Mallett looks sloppy.
-Mccourty made a great coverage play on Lloyd.
-Bolden looked quick and good catching out of the backfield.
-Hightower's hugggggge

Cannon looks a lot svelte this season which I think is an indication that he will be at RT, rather than RG. I actually like Connolly back at RG because of his athletic ability to pull.

Lloyd not so much jumped over Moore as extended his hands over Moore's head. A great catch, yes but what was disturbing was Moore never turned around to look. The same thing happened with McCourty's breakup of the pass intended for Lloyd. McCourty never looked back. It was Lloyd's telegraphing the catch that gave him the inclination to throw up his left arm.

I don't think Mallett was sloppy. He hit all his targets. I don't recall anyone having to reach or jump.

Is this guy to be compared to a Levon Kirkland? It sounds like he has the size and the quickness.

Went to camp yesterday with my 4 year old. My novice observations;

Chandler Jones, to me, certainly looks the part in pads.

Brandon Lloyd had 2 or 3 circus catches and really seems to be gelling with Brady.

In person, it really is amazing how enormous Gallery is......literally a behemoth.

Solder looks like he's put on some weight which is good.

As many have already said, Hightower is huge and thick.

Edelman looked real good when working in the 7-7 drills.

McCourty had a fantastic break up on a play that Lloyd (I think) had him beat by a step. He just stretched out and batted the ball away at the last second.

Mayo had a great strip of Hernandez after the catch on one play.

Stallworth looks fast still but dropped a few passes (also caught a few).

Just my 2 cents......

Warning: The below story contains zero football news, just a funny and cute story that my son and I will have forever.

As mentioned I took my 4 year old son Reagan to camp yesterday. It was the first time either of us had gone.

We were sitting in the bleachers and after practice got a great spot for autographs. We were in the front row behind the yellow rope. Well, Brady was signing a few autographs ....just a few. He walked right past Reagan as he was yelling for Brady to sign his jersey. So, after Brady walked past, Reagan decided to go under the rope and onto the field, jersey in hand. * I may have encouraged it....I don't remember all the details :-) *

Anyway, he walks right up to Brady and Brady turns around smiling but Reagan forgot his pen so Brady just laughs. You could tell he felt kinda bad. By then the security guy was there telling Reagan he had to go back behind the rope.

Still, it was kinda cool.

Just had to share.....
