Having lived in the DC area and been a long time Pats fan, I am very familiar with Andre Tippett, Darrell Green, Art Monk and Emmit Thomas (long time Redskin coach). I was extremely impressed with the living example of just plain good people and their speeches at the induction yesterday exemplified what a person should strive for, not just athletes (please) but everyone.

I'm not familiar with Fred Dean and Gary Zimmerman other than as players and didn't watch their speeches but yesterday was a good day for the NFL and for everyone (if they were paying attention) illuminating such classy people.

I agree completely, a very classy group ! Obviously, I paid special attention to Andre Tippet's speech. I really enjoyed his speech, and the highlights of his playing days. A wonderful day for longtime Pat's fans, and NFL fans in general.

I thought Kraft and Tip were awesome!!

However, I'm a little disappointed in the attendance from the HOF Members.

Looked like a lot of empty chairs back there and they all seemed bored.

I would imagine that will change next year when you probably will have Rice, E. Smith and C. Carter going in.

Yes, I went to the Hall for the 2000 game with my sons when the Pats played the 49'er's in Belichick's first game. My youngest son was awed by meeting and speaking with someone like Otto Graham. There was a much larger attendance of HOF'ers that year.

It's a great take, highly recommended.

I have to agree. Monk and Green exempified living a Christian life and are excellent role models. I thought Fred Dean was a great speaker. I don't know much about him but can he give a speech. Serious yet funny, very capitivating.

They were all class acts. Art Monk's speech brought tears to my eyes. What a spiritual man. This is a good group of guys, IMO. They all deserved this honor.

I wanted to see all of them after seeing how great Kraft and Tip were...what a great group of people!!!! I thought Green's speech was particularly touching and emotional...especially when telling of his two friends from High School...one who went to college with him and who was killed in a car crash going back home..a ride he himself was suppose to take with him..as well as the other who committed suicide. VERY moving. I enjoyed Zimmerman's light and short speech as well, especially his talk about how different O lineman are..ALL classy! I saw Shanhan afterwards as he was up on stage and he congratulated Tip quite a lot before making his way to GZ.

I was busy with family crap so I missed most of it. I'm sure I can catch a replay. I caught Green and Dean's speeches. Green was very touching and Dean was hilarious with the glasses.

One thing I wondered, how was the crowd when Kraft came out?

All of yesterday's inductees were a stark contrast to last year's inductee, the blowhard scumbag Michael Irvin. I was ecstatic when the 4-letter network *****canned his loudmouthed, pompous ass a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, now that he's a HOFer it looks like he'll either return to the worldwide hater or to the NFLN. More proof that there is no justice, and no god, in this world.
