FREE AGENT PRIORITIES
Add a safety and a corner (Molden?) or more for camp competition.

DRAFT PRIORITIES
Stop making believe with regard to finding a safety that will contribute in 2012. The choices are poor ones. They will be developmental. We can draft safeties in 2013 when the choices are better.

SOLUTION
Draft TWO corners in the rounds 2-4, one as a major addition and the other to beat out Molden or the other free agent acquired.

BOTTOM LINE
Our free agency priority is at safety.
Our draft priority is at corner.
I wouldn't count on Barrett making the cut, he's been on IR the majority of the last two years and done next to nothing the other two. He's a good athlete but not much of a football player. He's a fringe NFL player, not someone you pencil in for a roster spot in March.

Maybe they sign someone like Zack Bowman who's played corner and has the size to play safety. I believe they were planning on drafting him in 08 but the Bears got to him first.

We have Chung and Gregory. We usually carry 5 safeties (sometime 4 or even 6). I agree that listing a fringe player like Barrett as an almost lock doesn't seem right. However, we could add 2 safeties and Barrett could still make the roster as the #5 safety. Yes, another injury could move Barrett out. However, it seems unlikely that he will beaten out for a roster spot. I just don't see us bringing in enough players to have that happen.
