Will the MHK patch remain on the jerseys for 2012?
I am thinking about getting an authentic Gronkowski jersey this year and want to get one with the MHK patch IF the team is planning on keeping the patch on next year's team jerseys for 2012 play.
Anyone know if the patch was a one year thing in memory of Myra? or will it be on as long as the Kraft family owns the team?

It was only for this year. Dedicating the 2011 season to her. Which should have ended with a SB championship. I would say no it's not going to be on there next season.

Yea it was just one year. Also I'm pretty sure the jerseys are changing to Nike next year. Don't know how drastic of a change it will be , but you might want to hold off.

As has been mentioned several times, Nike itself only has direct control over the "feel" of the jerseys.
They cannot change logos, fonts, etc., without the permission of the Patriots and the NFL.

That whole "Nike jersey change" myth has some legs eh?

This genius move was followed by trading out of a spot where they could have gotten the last decent receiver in Robert Ferguson and settled for tackle Matt Light, who will not help any time soon.”

To be fair, Nike said something like we can't change the logo. That doesn't mean they can't cover the uniform with goofy-ness and stuff. Logo gloves are almost definite. Maybe flag patterned uniforms like U of Maryland wore? Star and stripe pants or socks? I am not counting anything out.
Personally, I think some chrome helmets would be interesting.

No, they're not doing any of that crap. The only difference you'll see is the Nike swoosh instead of the Reebok vector. If the uniforms look any different I'll eat one of my hats.

No complaints here, I love this current Pats uniform. I am just pointing out what Nike and the NFL said, which I thought was a bit dishonest. 'No we're not changing the logos' and 'no we're not changing the uniforms' are very different things. They might as well have just said 'dont worry about it and buy Reebok ones while they're in stock.' Which, btw, people seem to be avoiding since NFLShop had marked down all jerseys a couple of weeks ago.

You're referring to the infamous "Bleacher Report" article that shocked everyone last yr. That's where you get the "flag pattern" visual that you are speaking of.
This was one of the worst rumors of the year in the NFL, and they very quickly put it to bed a couple of weeks later. Like any other rumor, there are still some people who are in the dark. Does anyone really think the NFL would drastically change all of its uniforms? Those logos, uniforms, colors etc are all owned by the NFL and the NEP.
As mentioned, the only thing that Nike can do is slightly change the fabric percentage/try to make it more 'rain proof,' lighter material etc. There is absolutely nothing else that is going to change besides the small logo on the side of the arm as far as fans are concerned.
