Default Reggie Wayne

Does anyone think we have a legitimate chance at flipping this guy? Anyone know what his general feelings are towards us as an organization? I still think he is an incredible talent and would be my free agent target (of course Welker and Waters are must keeps) for the offensive side of the ball.

His age and history is the perfect fit on the team if you judge Belichick's strange love for old and close to washed up receivers.

Joey Galloway,David Patten,OchoStinko and Tory Holt all agree to that.

Problem is ....Of these 4 retreads, Only Stinko remained with the team once the RS started

I hear you on the older WR, but I think Wayne has 2 more productive years in him. This guy was a 1300 yard receiver the last time he had a decent QB throwing him the ball. He almost broke the 1,000 yard mark this year with a couple of plumber joes throwing him the ball.

As we saw with Ochostinko though,When you are with ONE team for over 10 years it is incredibly hard to adjust to a new team's offense once in your mid to late 30s

I think Wayne, just like Ocho would look lost out there in this offense.....then again like I said,he fits the bill as potential for Pats training camp for washed up and slow receivers who were once all pros.

Indeed, they do also need WR help though, and Wayne could help a lot.

I would be willing to bet that the Colts offense has as many option route reads as the Patriots

After suffering a 2-14 season, perhaps he would be agreeable to coming to a Super Bowl contender.

He's 34 yrs old. Let's get a WR who has at least 4 -5 yrs left, not someone who's a year or 2 away from retirement.

Lets get FA who has some yrs left and draft a WR also. If Floyd slips to late teens or early 20's i'd like to see us move up and get him.
