Silly me, this is a message board, of coarse we won't wait to see what's really going on.
Please continue.

....from the wilderness,a voice of reason
My head explodes when I hear:
1.injury-prone,made of glass
2.step-up
3.not living up to the potential of a 1st rd or 2nd rd pick...etcetera,etcetera...ad nauseum
Injuries are 95% luck...as in BAD luck.
Receivers like CJ are like skittish colts(small c...sorry,Peyton).The smallest injury to their wheels and their on the shelf.Sorry, but it's the nature of the beast.
Understand this, though, the Pats are LOADED...almost everywhere.Unlike most teams,we can afford to intergrate young players into the system.
At best,Jackson is our #3 receiver.If he progresses slowly....so what.....like Maroney and Hobbs,he's still just a kid......24yrs old?
With Moss,Welker,Watson and Faulk,he's just not gonna get a lot of reps.
Receivers like Marques Colston are the aberration, not the norm.I really like CJ,but his progress has been retarded by bad luck and a stacked roster. If he works out, fine,if not we have plenty of future draft choices.
Regarding David Thomas...IMHO,he's going to be our Dallas Clark.Watson is on a 6 year rookie contract and I believe he will be gone after 2009.
I believe BB is going back to the "jumbo",ball-control offense....score 28-30 points and don't let them have the ball.
In this system, everyone gets more rest and statistics,be damned.
Snall ball or big ball, this team is a juggernaught.
