Default Better Pass Rush Ravens/Giants?

I'm not looking up the #'s, I'm sure the Giants had more sacks this year then the Ravens. But I'm guessing that Brady would rather face the Giants pass rush over the Ravens. Brady usually does very well against edge pressure, his ability to step up at exactly the right time is like having the advantage of an extra blocker on the field. What we just faced against the Ravens was 2 huge & strong dudes in Nagta and Cody not giving Brady room to step up and fire. Most passes he looked like he was firing the ball out very quickly. I don't remember the Giants pass rush bothering him much this year, he seemed more comfortable and willing to take the time to look deep downfield.

Are you more worried about the Giants pass rush?

The Ravens and Giants both finished with 48 sacks a piece.

As for the game against the Giants, Brady did well in the first half, but got beat up in the second and overall had a poor game for his standards.

He started 13/19 with 1 INT, but put up 0 points in the first half.

In the second half, he went 15/28, 2 TDs, 1 INT, 1 lost fumble, 2 sacks, 3 QB hits.

So I wouldn't say he handled it all that well.

The Giants have a good pass rush, and while they don't have a guy like Ngata in the middle, they were still able to generate a lot of pressure up the middle in the last Superbowl match-up, and that was before they drafted JPP. I feel our interior OL is much better equipped, but it will be a tough test.

I'm more worried about the Giants pass rush than I was about the Ravens. But if our OL is on its game and afford Brady time to throw like he had against Baltimore, the Giants secondary won't stay with our recievers as well as the Ravens could.

This is similar to the point I made in another thread. With no Moss and worrying about deep routes being formed, Brady should have much more time generally. Quick routes and screen plays will be key to beating this team.

Also we need a good mix of run plays, Giants aren't the best run stopping team and look what Benny did to one of the best run stopping teams. The O-line is much better this time around so hopefully Brady has some decent time. They will get their pressure on some plays but as mentioned, Brady can throw on these corners much better than the Ravens.

The Giants pass rush is better, and IMO, it's not close.

The Ravens got pressure at times yesterday, but nothing extraordinary. Like I've said before, Brady made some poor decisions.

The way I see it is that the Giants have a better Pass Rush where the Ravens have a better Defense.

I think that the Giants right now are better pass rushers, but the Pats have faced a lot of good pass rushers in the playoffs and in the last month of the season and for the most part the o-line has kept Brady clean. Right now the Pats' o-line might be the best pass blocking o-line in the league. That means they can hold their own even against a monster pass rush.

Giants get pressure with 4, Ravens like to blitz. Ravens have a better much better secondary though, IMO.

I think we'll have better offensive success, especially in the redzone, against the Giants, however, they will most likely see much better success against us as well.
