Default Tomase/Cameragate

This is certainly going to be an unpopular opinion, but now that Cameragate has more or less been put to rest, can we try to make an attempt to lay off of Tomase? Sure, it appears that he screwed up and screwed up big time. However, this guy does read this board, as evidence by referencing a comment on Chad Jackson in one of his stories. I feel it's really unnecessary to be continuously insulting him on things like his physical appearance, et al.

This is all just my 2 cents, and I'm sure this won't stop many if any at all. But underneath it all there's a guy who might lose his job, which I'm sure has to be a disheartening feeling. I think the guy has been through enough.

Eh, it'll toughen him up. And maybe, just maybe, it'll teach him to not be a malicious d-bag at his next gig.

You're correct, it won't stop many if any. The fat greasy POS did something incredibly stupid and hurtful. He needs to be fired. The only place I want to see him is at the car wash--as the guy who sprays the soap on the car before it goes in.
Screw him.

When the Herald prints a retraction and Tomase publicly asks the fans of NE for forgiveness, maybe some people will consider it. Until then, quit your whining. What consideration did he have for anything but his own career when he published a LIE right before the SB?

BTW, for those claiming he was just a front man, I'm sure had he received the Pulitzer for which he was pining he would have claimed otherwise.

Tomase is a young, reasonably healthy, and decently educated American. There are worse things in the world than being called a fat@$$. At least that's factual.

I would rather not lay off it. Even though it had nothing to do with them losing the superbowl, the timing of the story was obviously an attempt to distract the team because BB hates the Herald. I hope he gets fired and ends up homeless.

I promise you that you just started what will undoubtedly be a bash Tomassee thread.

So let me be one of the first to say that tomASSe should leave the new england area and never come back. We will all be better off if we dont have to see him or hear him again.

and from a fat man....That fat man can go f himself.

Hey, I spent a summer in college doing that, and former car wash employees will thank you kindly not to saddle us with Tomase.

I will agree with you on one point and vehemently disagree with you on another:

1) His physical appearance should have nothing to do with any argument over whether he is right or wrong. People harping on that only make themselves look juvenile and dilute their arguments in the eyes of thinking people. My sneaking suspicion is that some of the posters who are harping the most about his appearance would probably be the posters most sweating if their computer screens were 2-way.

2) If I "screw up" in my profession, I would have the FINRA (formerly NASD), the SEC and Perry Mason going through my wallet. And that is even if I were not purposely doing anything wrong. Tomase had been following that story for 5 months. He knew the reasons why he hadn't published it up to that point. He knew the lay of the land.

Perhaps you should have worried about the "feelings" of everyone in the Patriots organization, Belichicks kids, the Kraft family, etc. who were affected by this libel instead of worrying about the Libeler.

Regardless the guys career in this city is done, the fans and teams of boston will want nothing to do with him. It's time for him to find another city to work in!
