rounding out the rooting against division rivals. However there would be an upside to Bills winning. I really don't see the Bills as threat. Jets are threat. Bills not so much. And the more the Raiders lose the more our second pick is worth.
Bears (1-0) at Saints (0-1) 1:00PM ET
We own the Saints first round pick.
Buccaneers (0-1) at Vikings (0-1) 1:00PM ET,
Someone has to win the NFC south. My vote is anyone but the Saints.
Eagles (1-0) at Falcons (0-1) 8:20PM ET,
Ditto. Also we have the Eagle's 7th round pick. Not a big deal for it to move a couple of spots but better than nothing.
Packers (1-0) at Panthers (0-1) 1:00PM ET
See Bucs. Plus I spent much of last year rooting against the Panther and last week I rooted for the Packers. Time for a bit of variety.
Bengals (1-0) at Broncos (0-1) 4:15PM ET,
Some one needs to win the AFCW. My vote is anyone but the Raiders.
Chiefs (0-1) at Lions (1-0) 1:00PM ET
Ditto. Plus I like Scott and Matt. Note to some confused folks dispite reports to the contrary on this forum. Scott Polio is the GM of the Chiefs not the Falcons.
Browns (0-1) at Colts (0-1) 1:00PM ET,
No real Patriots interest here other than if the Browns make the playoffs this year it will be two teams in a row that got better buy firing the RAT as the HC. That's enough for me.
Ravens (1-0) at Titans (0-1) 1:00PM ET,
Two AFC teams have to root for the one with the worse record. To help the Pats in the standings.
Seahawks (0-1) at Steelers (0-1) 1:00PM ET,
NFC vs AFC. Gotta root for the AFC. Dispute a poor week 1 performance. Steelers aren't going away quietly and still a team that NE could be battle with for playoff seedings/wild card.
Cardinals (1-0) at Redskins (1-0) 1:00PM ET,
Cowboys (0-1) at 49ers (1-0) 4:05PM ET,
Rams (0-1) at Giants (0-1) MNF 8:30PM ET,

Always look forward to when you do these threads. I agree on the whole. The only one - and you had the same conflict - is the Bills v. Raiders. Are the Bills a real threat? If not, then I'd want the Raiders 2nd round pick to be as close to 33 as possible...
And I'll be rooting for the Colts, as tough as it is to fathom. I don't want their pick getting too good with Manning out.
I like your reasoning in most games. I think I might root for the Bills over the Raiders for 3 reasons.
1) the draft pick you mentioned.
2) It will really jack up the Bills to make them believe that they are actually a good team. That will make the collective "deflating" that they will undergo in week 3 after we go to Buffalo and deliver our annual beatdown even sweeter.
3) I hate the Raiders organization and everything bad that happens to them (like losing) is a good thing in my book.

Bills are better then they have been in the past, but not as good as they looked on Sunday. 1) they always seem to start well but fade like a cheap shirt by week 7-8. Buffalo is a .500 team at best this year. 2) The Chiefs absolutely laid down on Sunday. I can't remember a team looking so "not ready" to play football as they looked on opening day. Ugly stuff.

I want Lions to lose every game possible because I can't stand Suh and his attitude towards our players.
He tried to pounce on Brady plenty of times when he was baically down and he punched Mankins. Screw him. Then all of this buzz about them being a good team this year and playoff hopes... not with Greenbay and Chicago in your division.

Actually every week you want the Ravens and Jags to lose and the Steelers and Colts to win in the event the division comes down to tie breakers such as SOV and SOS vs the Jets. These the the non-common opponents. Jags play the Jets this week so that's different but otherwise they need to lose.

There's only two conclusions for Patriots fans on rookies. They are either a bust or being fitted for their bust in Canton.

Heh....this is exactly what I was going to write. Other than that, I pretty much agree with all of your picks which are well-reasoned. In regards to the below:
Cardinals (1-0) at Redskins (1-0) 1:00PM ET,
Cowboys (0-1) at 49ers (1-0) 4:05PM ET,
Rams (0-1) at Giants (0-1) MNF 8:30PM ET,
I'll be rooting for the Cardinals and 49'ers out of dislike of their opponents owners&fanbases. And the Rams simply because the Giants are a NY team and I work with NYG fans and like to hear them go from praising Eli to bashing him from week to week. (And of course, there is always the game that shall not be named)

After last week, any game where that fraud Tony Romo gets humiliated is high on my list. I can't stand the doofus, a good player from the neck down.

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.
This is known as "bad luck." RAH
Gotta root for the Colts to win for sure. I can see if they go 1-5 or so; just tanking the season to get Luck.
I'd rather see the Colts win the Luck Lottery. The cap hit they'd take would be enormous after what they just laid out for Manning. The Colts really need to build up their offensive line (and boy is it offensive!) and add some futire replacements at all the skill positions. If they have to take Luck, it would tank the franchise for a couple years or more. Their best move would be to trade out of 1st Place, but then what to do about Manning's replacement?
